Morocco to Decide on Extending State of Health Emergency in Government Meeting

Moroccans will be informed this Thursday on the extension or not of the state of health emergency. The issue is one of the topics on the agenda of the next Council of Government meeting to be held under the chairmanship of the Head of Government, Saad Dine El Otmani.
In a press release from the Department of the Head of Government, it is indicated that the Council will follow a presentation by the Minister of State in charge of Human Rights and Relations with Parliament on the government’s report on its relationship with parliament. Proposals for appointments to senior positions will also be examined by the Council.
The Council will also scrutinize the amendment of the free trade agreement between Morocco and Turkey, signed in Rabat on August 24. It will also examine an agreement on the consolidation of diplomatic privileges and immunities, signed on September 1, 2020 by the United States and Morocco in Rabat and a draft law approving this agreement.
