Morocco’s COVID-19 Cases Surpass 3,000 as Infections Accelerate

Infections are accelerating in Morocco with the recording, this Monday, March 20, of 191 new cases, bringing the national toll to 3,046 people infected with covid-19.
According to the Ministry of Health, the kingdom now has 350 people cured against 143 deaths.
With these new figures, the Casablanca-Settat region remains the epicenter of the pandemic in Morocco with 840 cases, followed by Marrakech-Safi (739 cases), Fès-Meknès (418 cases), Tanger Tetouan Al Hoceima (383) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (273 cases).
Faced with this constantly rising toll, the ministry does not miss any opportunity to urge Moroccans to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
