Morocco Converts 1,100-Bed Field Hospital to Treat Asymptomatic COVID-19 Cases

The regional health directorate of Rabat-Sale-Kenitra has stated that the field hospital in Sidi Yahya of Gharb is now taking care of asymptomatic cases. This hospital facility had been set up as part of the monitoring and management of Covid-19 contamination cases in the Lalla Mimouna cluster.
In a press release, the regional directorate states that this hospital has a capacity of 1100 beds, with a staff of 20 civilian medical personnel and 54 military personnel, providing health care and making enormous efforts to cope with the pandemic, following the increase in the number of infected and critical cases in the Rabat-Sale-Kenitra region.
To date, 1767 cases of Covid-19 contamination have been admitted to this hospital. In total, 1248 people have recovered from the coronavirus, the same source said.
