Casablanca Expands COVID-19 Capacity with New 40-Bed Field Hospital

The authorities have decided to set up a field hospital within the Ben M’sik hospital center in Casablanca. The sharp increase in the number of deaths and critical cases of Covid-19 infection has precipitated the taking of such a decision.

This temporary field hospital will be responsible for welcoming Covid-19 patients and strengthening the bed capacity in the region. It consists of 40 beds divided equally between men and women. The Ben M’sik field hospital will be equipped with all the necessary medical equipment.

The hospital will be put into service this Monday, August 24. It is equipped "with spaces for the reception and consultation of suspected Covid-19 cases and for the care of positive cases".
