Morocco Considers Easing COVID-19 Restrictions as Health Officials Meet

The Minister of Health and Social Protection and the Scientific and Technical Committee are holding a meeting this Monday, February 14, during which a new strategy to fight the coronavirus should be adopted. Are we heading towards the lifting of health restrictions?
During this meeting, the new strategy to fight the coronavirus will be the subject of discussions. There will be the presentation of several recommendations: the lifting of the obligation to wear a mask and that of social distancing, the authorization of large gatherings of more than 100 people in closed spaces subject to the presentation of a vaccination pass, etc., reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
As of this Monday, February 14, all civil servants must present their vaccination pass to access their workplace. Ad hoc commissions are responsible for verifying that all civil servants and employees have completed the full vaccination protocol, with the third dose. Those who would oppose the census will be considered absent and risk facing deductions from their salary.
The Executive intends to put an end to certain restrictions, while betting on the achievement of collective immunity (23 million citizens fully vaccinated). Morocco will declare the Covid-19 epidemic over from next spring. In the new government strategy, it will now be a question of a seasonal flu.
