Morocco to Consider Extending State of Health Emergency in Government Council

The extension of the duration of the state of health emergency will be the subject of discussions at the next council of government scheduled for Thursday, February 24, 2022.
Several points will be on the agenda. The Council of Government will examine a bill relating to secured obligations, as well as four draft decrees, the first of which concerns the extension of the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory. As for the second text to be discussed, it completes the annex to the decree implementing the law on the basic compulsory health insurance scheme and the law establishing a pension scheme for the categories of professionals, self-employed workers and non-salaried persons engaged in a liberal activity, reports the MAP.
The application of the aforementioned laws for the benefit of independent artists is the third draft decree. The fourth project focuses on the application of the decree-law relating to the implementation of exceptional measures for the benefit of certain employers affiliated with the National Social Security Fund (CNSS) and their declared employees, as well as certain categories of self-employed workers and non-salaried persons insured with the CNSS, affected by the repercussions of the Covid-19 epidemic, with regard to the tourism sector.
The last point of the council is the examination of proposals for appointments to high positions in accordance with Article 92 of the Constitution.
