Morocco’s Coach Regragui Sees Room for Improvement After Cape Verde Match

The confrontation between Morocco and Cape Verde will allow the national team to progress, said Walid Regragui in the post-match press conference, admitting that the match was a test for his team, which struggled to find solutions, despite the adjustments made during the game.
It is a lack of offensive aggressiveness of the Atlas Lions, as well as a certain lack of intensity that have hindered their performance, he said, expressing optimism, as this match allowed to introduce new players, which could give the team an opportunity to discover their potential and improve their game.
Furthermore, he stated that the team had six months to improve its game before the Africa Cup of Nations, saying he was convinced that the return of the absent players would add vigor to the team. He also made it known that the match against Cape Verde was an opportunity to test new approaches.
The Cape Verde coach, Pedro Brito, for his part, praised the performance of Morocco. He acknowledged that his team had struggled to break through the Moroccan defense, but said they had learned that they could be threatening on the counterattack. However, he regretted that his team had failed to convert its chances into goals.
