Morocco Aims to Continue World Cup Form in Friendly Against Cape Verde

The Moroccan national football team is preparing to face Cape Verde in a friendly match in Rabat. Walid Regragui, the national coach, said that his players will approach this match with the same fighting spirit that has animated their previous matches.
Ready to win, the Moroccan national team intends to maintain the momentum of its recent successes, particularly during the World Cup in Qatar, according to Regragui, who specifies that this confrontation with Cape Verde is a major test of their current form, even if they are returning tired from their club season.
The coach, however, acknowledged that the match against Cape Verde would not be a walk in the park. Cape Verde has a solid team with experienced players playing in several European clubs, he said, recalling that Morocco had already drawn against this team in a previous face-off.
Thanks to its recent performances, Morocco has become one of the best African teams, he said, expressing confidence that the Atlas Lions are a serious contender to win the next Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire.
This friendly match against Cape Verde is part of the preparations for the official match against South Africa on June 17 in Johannesburg, counting towards the qualifiers for the 2024 CAN Côte d’Ivoire.
