Morocco Seeks Redemption Against South Africa in CAN Qualifier Tune-Up

Eager to erase the memory of a disappointing match against Cape Verde, the Atlas Lions are preparing to face South Africa this Saturday at 4pm (5pm in Europe).
This match, although without stakes for Morocco, which is already qualified for the 2024 CAN, is crucial to restore the confidence of the supporters and refine the team’s preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The national coach, Walid Regragui, announced his intention to test new tactical combinations and give playing time to the new players called up. This choice, assumed despite the risks, aims to perfect the team’s game. Regragui had declared after the match against Cape Verde that he was not afraid to lose, underlining his determination to take risks to improve the team’s performance.
The coach also spoke about Sofyan Amrabat, who was excused from the match to allow him to rest after more than fifty matches this year. The former Hellas Verona player left the team to join his current club ACF Fiorentina. But rumors indicate that Amrabat is preparing to leave for another destination, with several offers on the table, including from Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, Manchester United or even FC Barcelona if the Catalan club manages to match the transfer amount.
