Morocco Coach Regragui Meets with Brahim Diaz to Discuss National Team Future

Brahim Diaz is reflecting on his sports nationality. He will have to choose between Morocco and Spain. A difficult choice for this dual national player who interests Atlas Lions coach Walid Regragui. Preferring not to put pressure on him, he did not call him up for the two friendly matches against Brazil and Peru, scheduled for March 25 in Tangier and March 28 in Madrid.

"I went to Milan to meet Brahim Diaz. He has dual nationality and there was a sincere discussion, he was honest. There are no negotiations, but he has asked for time to reflect to decide between us and Spain. He loves Morocco but it will be his decision," he said at the press conference he hosted on Monday, March 13.

In Spain, Brahim has on the other hand been approached by Luis de la Fuente, coach of the Roja, for the next gathering against Norway and Scotland on March 25 and 28, as part of the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
