Spain Omits Brahim Diaz from National Team Squad, Boosting Morocco’s Hopes

The Spanish-Moroccan Brahim Diaz was not included in the list just published by Luis de la Fuente for the next matches of the Spanish national team.
Undoubtedly a sigh of relief for many Moroccan supporters who were awaiting with a certain apprehension the list of players called up for the friendly matches that Spain is to play against Norway and Scotland.
This non-selection of Brahim Diaz leaves hope for Walid Regragui who had expressed discussions with the player as part of his integration into the Atlas Lions.
"I went to Milan to meet Brahim Diaz. He has dual nationality and there has been an honest discussion, he has been honest. There are no negotiations, but he has asked for a period of reflection to decide between us and Spain. He loves Morocco but it will be his decision," the coach had said during the press conference he led earlier this week.
