Morocco Coach Regragui Defends FA President Lekjaa Amid Social Media Backlash

Victim of a hate campaign on social networks, the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, can count on the support of the coach of the national team, Walid Regragui.
The hate campaign carried out on social networks against the president of the FRMF, Fouzi Lekjaa made its way into the press conference devoted, this Monday, to the announcement of the list of Atlas Lions selected for the friendly matches in March. "I am in solidarity with the president, but also a witness to his rigor and the enormous work he does on a daily basis and the passion he has for national football at all levels. [...] When you touch the president, you touch the national team and Moroccan football. Criticism, yes, no one is against it, not even him, but insults no, it is unacceptable," declared the coach of the national team, Walid Regragui.
He says he is convinced that "those who are behind this media campaign are not real football fans, they are not real fans who love their country, because we are at a pivotal moment, where we must stick together and remain united, and what is happening is not good for the national team, it is not good for anyone."
Recalling "everything this man has done for national football, in terms of achievements, infrastructure, improvement of the Botola level...", the former coach of Wydad Athletic Club felt that "criticizing is good", but "being honest is even better."
