Morocco U17 Team Heads to Algeria for AFCON via Private Flight, Bypassing Royal Air Maroc

The Moroccan under-17 delegation will take part in the U17 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Algeria. The delegation will travel to Constantine by direct flight, departing from Rabat-Salé airport, but not with Royal Air Maroc as desired by the FRMF. It will be a private company that will operate the flight.
The players of the Moroccan U17 national team were welcomed by the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, at the Mohammed VI football complex, in the presence of the technical staff of the A team, including national coach Walid Regragui. On this occasion, Mr. Lekjaa reminded the players of the importance of representing the national football with dignity during this continental competition.
For his part, Walid Regragui, the national coach, recalled the importance of altruism in sports competitions and that of wearing the national colors with pride and honor during this U17 AFCON.
The Moroccan selection will play in group B of the competition, alongside the teams of Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia. Expectations are high for this young team, which will have the heavy task of qualifying for the U17 World Cup. The U17 AFCON will take place from April 29 to May 19 in Algeria.
