Morocco’s U17 Squad Faces Nigeria in Key AFCON Clash After Strong Start

The Moroccan under-17 national team is preparing for its next match in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON-2023) against Nigeria. The team held a training session on Monday, May 1 at the annex stadium of the Mohamed Hamlaoui complex in Constantine, Algeria.
According to a statement from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), this session was devoted to recovery and saw the participation of all the players of the national team. National coach Saïd Chiba has great hopes in these young talents.
On Sunday, April 30, Chiba’s protégés dominated South Africa, winning 2-0. Thanks to this success, they currently share the top spot in Group B with Nigeria, who beat Zambia 1-0. The two teams will meet tomorrow, Wednesday, May 3, for a crucial match.
The national coach aims to win against Nigeria in order to maintain the lead in Group B and thus qualify for the next round, with the World Cup in sight.
