Morocco Coach Regragui Advises Amallah Ahead of World Cup Hopes

Moroccan international Selim Amallah is eagerly awaiting the World Cup to be held next November in Qatar. To participate in it, he must follow the advice of the coach of Morocco, Walid Regragui.
For now, Selim Amallah will have to be content with Standard de Liège. The much-awaited transfer could not materialize. He is aware that he has not played as he should have in recent times, even though he still maintains his status as the technical leader of the club and was elected player of the month for August. "I wanted to take a step forward and see elsewhere, I think it’s normal. But the more the days went by, the more I understood that it wouldn’t happen and that it wasn’t the right time," he said in Dernière heure.
For him, there are not too many regrets to be made since he feels good within the club. And he knows that if he has to finish his last year at Standard, he will do so under good conditions, with the help of everyone. "Everyone is behind me and I feel good. I think it shows. The coach trusts me a lot and that makes me happy." In addition, he specifies that Walid Regragui, the new coach of the Atlas Lions, has given him advice on which he prefers to focus. "With Morocco, we have a new coach and he told me that the most important thing was that I play. I have to keep the rhythm and be efficient until the World Cup, which is not a tournament like the others."
In response to those who believe he is already considering an extension with Standard, he stressed that he prefers to focus on the upcoming World Cup. "I’m not concerned about that, I let my agents handle it. As for me, I remain focused on the field. I’ll try to have a good World Cup and we’ll see what happens next..."
