Standard Liège Seeks Reconciliation with Moroccan Star Amallah After Contract Dispute

After excluding Selim Amallah from the match that opposed Standard and Sporting Charleroi, the officials of the Liège club hope to start over on good terms with the Moroccan player.
Last Sunday, a major absentee in the Standard ranks. Moroccan international Selim Amallah was not aligned against Sporting. The leaders explain this absence as a sanction related to the non-compliance with the commitments made by the player when signing his contract. But for the player and his entourage, the club is trying to punish Selim Amallah who for the first time has mentioned the possibility of having other experiences outside the Liège club. In response to the club’s explanations, the attacking midfielder reacted on Instagram by taking up the published text, taking care to add a growing nose, a sign that for him the club’s leaders are not telling the truth.
This Tuesday, for the first training session after the Sunday match, Selim Amallah is to have a working session with Pierre Locht and Fergal Harkin from the club’s management. Will they be able to convince the Moroccan international who seems very disappointed by the decision to exclude him last Sunday? He must consult his agents, the English office Stellar, before any decision.
The Moroccan player’s contract expires on June 30, 2023. For the moment, he does not see the importance of extending with the club and is even ready to leave, free of any contract if no agreement is found.
