Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Reveals Death Threats After AFCON Elimination

Facing the media on Thursday, Vahid Halilhodzic confided that he had been threatened with death. In addition to criticism and insults, he claims to have received death threats after the elimination of Morocco from the Africa Cup of Nations.
Vahid Halilhodzic’s press conference on Thursday was a real moment of unloading. Morocco’s participation in the Africa Cup of Nations, tactical choices, the defeat of the Lions against the Pharaohs of Egypt, Ziyech’s return to the national team, everything was addressed by the national coach, in front of the media at the Mohammed VI Complex in Maâmoura.
Addressing Morocco’s elimination in the quarter-finals, he claims to have received threatening messages late at night. Some Internet users threatened to "cut off his head". The Franco-Bosnian technician regrets this whole situation and says he suffered greatly from the defeat against Egypt. "I was overwhelmed with grief for several days, even shedding a few tears."
It should be recalled that Morocco fell to Egypt (2-1) in the quarter-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations. Before this stage, the Moroccan selection had experienced an almost flawless group stage before beating Malawi in the round of 16.
