Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Confident in Team’s AFCON 2022 Prospects

The coach of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodzic, believes that Morocco’s chances of winning the Africa Cup of Nations football (AFCON 2022) scheduled from January 9 to February 6 in Cameroon are "real".
Morocco has "real" chances of winning this 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2022), Vahid Halilhodzic is convinced. But first, he calls on his players to focus on the group matches. Placed in Group C, the Atlas Lions will start the competition on January 10 against the Black Stars of Ghana, before crossing swords with the Coelacanths of the Comoros on January 14, then the Panthers of Gabon on January 18.
"We must prepare well to face the three teams in the group: Ghana, Gabon and the Comoros. Although Morocco is the favorite to reach the second round, we must prepare well and play with a lot of ambition and determination to go as far as possible," said the Franco-Bosnian technician in an interview with the official website of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
"A great desire animates the players of the national team to go as far as possible in this CAN," added Vahid Halilhodzic.
