Morocco’s Halilhodzic Tops Africa Cup of Nations Coaches’ Salary Rankings

Vahid Halilhodzic, coach of the Moroccan national football team, tops the ranking of the highest paid coaches of the 33rd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN) taking place in Cameroon.
With a monthly salary of €78,300, Vahid Halilhodzic ranks first in the top 9 of the highest paid coaches of the 2021 CAN. The coach of Morocco is followed by the coach of Egypt, Carlos Queiroz (€74,800/month), Djamel Belmadi of Algeria (3rd, with €57,300/month), Antonio Conceiçao of Cameroon (4th, with €52,000/month), Patrice Beaumelle of Côte d’Ivoire (5th, with €30,900/month), Milovan Rajevac of Ghana (6th, with €26,500/month) and Corentin Martins of Mauritania (7th, with €26,500/month). Aliou Cisse of Senegal (€23,800/month) and Kaba Diawara of Guinea (€17,600/month) complete the podium.
The kick-off of the 33rd edition of the 2021 CAN was given on Sunday, January 9, 2022 at the Olembé stadium in Yaoundé. The next day, the Atlas Lions made their debut in the competition against the Black Stars of Ghana. The match ended with a score of 1-0 in favor of the Moroccan team. A good start for Morocco, one of the favorites of this competition. Achraf Hakimi and his teammates will face the Coelacanths of the Comoros on January 14, beaten by the Panthers of Gabon on Monday.
