Morocco Coach Criticizes CAF’s Communication at Africa Cup of Nations

The coach of the Atlas Lions gave a press conference on Monday as part of Morocco’s last group stage match at the CAN Cameroon 2021. Among other topics addressed, Vahid Halilhodzic spoke to the CAF, asking it to review its communication policy.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has been the subject of criticism since the start of the CAN. The coach of the Moroccan national team took advantage of Monday’s press conference to make a few points. Vahid Halilhodzic seemed very annoyed by the way the press conferences are scheduled.
"I would like to be notified for the press conferences. I have obligations towards my players and they have to rest. In addition to this, a competition in the midst of a pandemic, there are measures to be taken. I ask that at the communication level, things be done according to the standards so that we avoid surprise effects".
Vahid Halilhodzic threatens not to attend press conferences anymore if their scheduling is not known in advance.
