Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Stands Firm on Ziyech’s National Team Exclusion

Hakim Ziyech’s chances of returning to the national team are dwindling. Vahid Halilhodzic reiterated this Thursday during the press conference in which the coach spoke about the Lions’ performance at the Africa Cup of Nations.
Will Hakim Ziyech wear the Moroccan jersey again? Not as long as Vahid Halilhodzic is the coach of the Atlas Lions. This is what we gather from the statement made by the Franco-Bosnian in the press conference. "Do you want me to beg someone to play for the national team? There is a group, a collective spirit, I want to keep that."
The rift between the two men seems even more acute, despite the mediation of the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. "I cannot call up a player who can explode the group, even if his name is Lionel Messi."
For Halilhodzic, the Ziyech case is closed and going back to it is a waste of time. For him, it is necessary to use the time to prepare the team to face the Democratic Republic of Congo in March.
