Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Stands Firm on Ziyech and Mazraoui Exclusion Ahead of World Cup Qualifiers

While the President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, indicated in an interview on Radio Mars that he would personally get involved in resolving the crisis between Ziyech and the coach, Vahid Halilhodzic does not see it that way. He no longer wants to hear about the player, as well as his teammate from Ajax Amsterdam, Noussair Mazraoui.
The Moroccan players are completing the African qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup final phase, with two matches. The first against Sudan on November 12 and the second against Guinea on the 16th of the same month.
As is customary, the national coach Vahid Halilhodzic returned in a press conference to various topics, including the sidelining of Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui. "This subject is closed," the coach first launched, before adding: "I have nothing more to say on this subject. I repeat, the national team is above everyone else."
This statement shows that the national coach maintains his position, that of no longer wanting the Chelsea midfielder in the national team. The recent media outings of the two players have apparently only poured oil on the fire and lost any possibility of a settlement of the conflict between the three men.
All eyes are now turned to the president of the FRMF, who has promised to bring peace for the well-being of the team, whose interest must take precedence over any other consideration.
