Morocco Coach Sets Terms for Mazraoui’s National Team Return Ahead of AFCON

A few weeks before Morocco’s participation in the CAN, coach Vahid Halilhodzic is willing to allow the return of Moroccan international Noussair Mazraoui. But the technician sets his conditions.
Noussair Mazraoui will certainly return to the national team sooner than expected. The crisis between the Ajax full-back and Vahid Halilhodzic is close to a happy ending. According to the daily Assabah, the player will be present at the Africa Cup of Nations to be played in Cameroon between January and February 2022, but on condition that he shows discipline and seriousness during training.
As for the return of Hakim Ziyech, it’s another story. The coach had stated that this file was closed for him and this seems not to change for the moment. The crisis between Ziyech and Vahid is much more serious, and its resolution now depends on the mediation of the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and the national team selection committee.
