Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Cuts Ties with Ziyech and Mazraoui Ahead of World Cup Playoffs

Vahid Halilhodzic reacted, during the press conference on Thursday, to the decision of Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui not to join the Atlas Lions for the playoffs for the next World Cup in Qatar.
Questioned on the subject during the press conference dedicated to the publication of the list of players called up for Morocco’s next two matches, the national coach stated that the two players "have made the choice to refuse".
"We respect this choice. But now, it’s over. I will never talk about them again," he concluded.
To recall, Morocco will face the DR Congo on March 25 in Kinshasa in the first leg of the World Cup 2022 playoffs. The return leg will take place on the 29th of the same month at the Mohammed V Sports Complex in Casablanca.
