Morocco Coach Halilhodzic Signals Openness to Ziyech’s National Team Return
Hakim Ziyech could make a comeback with the Moroccan national football team. National coach Vahid Halilhodzic expressed his desire to see him play again with the Atlas Lions.
Present at the Wydad Casablanca-Zamalek match, as part of the CAF Champions League, Vahid Halilhodzic was questioned about his rift with the midfielder of the blues and his non-selection for the last CAN.
"I want him, but it’s him who doesn’t want it," he hinted, when a supporter asked about the player’s future with the national team.
This statement by the Franco-Bosnian technician is proof that a door remains open for the Moroccan international, who had in the meantime decided to end his international career. Will he accept the olive branch, to come back on his decision and participate in the World Cup play-offs against Congo? Answers in the coming weeks.
