Morocco Coach Confident Ahead of Crucial AFCON Round of 16 Clash with Malawi

Morocco will face Malawi this Tuesday for the match counting for the round of 16 of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. During his pre-match press conference, Vahid Halilhodzic said he was convinced of his players’ ability to meet the challenge.
The coach of the Atlas Lions said he was "optimistic" and "confident" in his players’ ability to meet the challenge. However, the technician remains cautious, but promises that his players "will play a super match".
During this press point in Yaoundé, Vahid Halilhodzic acknowledged that the mission of the Atlas Lions against the Malawi Flames will not be an easy one. "You know, in football, it’s the collective that wins. And this Malawi team has shown great combativeness and plays very good football," he said. But "Morocco will play a great big match, with a lot of involvement from the players, concentration, discipline and self-denial".
For the coach of the Moroccan national team, winning this round of 16 is a matter of honor and responsibility. The Lions have an obligation to continue on the path traced since the qualifiers until the first phase of the competition.
