Morocco Coach to Announce Squad for World Cup Qualifiers Amid Ziyech, Mazraoui Speculation

This Thursday, November 4, Vahid Halilhodzic will unveil the list of players called up for the training camp and the next matches of the Atlas Lions. Pending this press conference, rumors are circulating about the return of Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui to the group.
The press conference will be held this Thursday at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maâmoura. The coach will reveal the names of the players selected for the matches against Sudan on November 12 in Rabat and against Guinea on November 16 in Casablanca. For now, the list remains confidential and the rumors that take for granted the return of Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui would be unfounded according to a source close to the coach, reports Le360.
Before the last gathering of the Atlas Lions in October, Vahid had spoken about the case of the two players in a press conference. For him, Ziyech was flagged for disciplinary issues and could not quickly find his teammates again. "For each player, there are limits. It’s not for a single case of indiscipline. We tried to talk, but it continues and then there are limits where we have to say stop. It’s sad, it’s a waste, but it’s also a shame. I chose not to respond to the controversy," he had said.
As for Noussair Mazraoui, the coach explained that he "refused to play a match, while the medical staff considered him fit to do so". Vahid Halilhodzic’s press conference will be broadcast live from the Mohammed VI Football Complex, starting at 11 a.m., on the federation’s official website as well as on its YouTube channel and Facebook page. This press conference will also be broadcast by the Moroccan sports channel Arryadia.
