Morocco Coach Halilhodzic to Announce World Cup Qualifier Squad, Ziyech Likely Excluded

The national coach, Vahid Halilhodzic, intends to maintain the same squad for the upcoming matches counting for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. He will unveil the list of players this Thursday. Unsurprisingly, Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui, suspended, should not be part of it.
Vahid Halilhodzic will make public the list of players called up for the upcoming matches this Thursday at 11 a.m. during a press conference he will host at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maamoura, reports the daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
The Atlas Lions are summoned on November 7 to prepare their matches against Sudan on November 12 and against Guinea-Conakry on November 16, counting for the sixth and final day of the 2022 World Cup Qatar qualifiers.
The national coach does not plan to call on Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui, suspended for disciplinary reasons. On the other hand, he will consider the possibility of fielding Youssef En-Nesyri, Selim Amallah and Aymane Barkok, all three recently injured.
The players will have their first training session on November 8 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex in Maamoura. Topping Group I with 12 points, Morocco is already qualified for the play-offs. The two upcoming matches are in fact just a formality.
