Morocco’s New Car Sales Drop 6.72% in January, Industry Data Shows

The year 2022 is starting slowly for the new car segment. Sales in this sector have fallen by 6.72% compared to the same period last year.
According to statistics from the Association of Automobile Importers in Morocco (AIVAM), 10,977 passenger cars were sold in January compared to 11,679 cars in the same period in 2021, a decrease of 6.01%.
The same observation on the side of light commercial vehicles, where sales have also experienced a decline of -11.71% with 1,462 units sold against 1,656 units sold a year earlier
