Morocco’s Auto Sales Slump Continues: 15% Drop in April

The Moroccan automotive sector continues its downward trend, observed since the beginning of the year. In April, sales fell by 15.41% compared to the same period a year earlier.
Car sales stood at 12,513 units, according to the Association of Automobile Importers in Morocco (AIVAM).
In its monthly statistics, the association reported the sale of 11,171 passenger cars (PC) 11,171 units, a decrease of 14.44%, while 1,342 light commercial vehicles (LCV) were registered, a decrease of 22.74% compared to the same period in 2021.
Thus, the total automotive market at the end of April recorded 53,912 units sold, a decrease of -8.56% compared to the same period a year ago, according to the same source.
