Morocco’s New Car Sales Drop 4.35% in Early 2024, Auto Industry Faces Headwinds

The new car market in Morocco has slowed down at the beginning of this year. As of the end of February, sales recorded a 4.35% decline compared to the same period last year.
According to the Fitch Solutions firm, new car sales in Morocco amounted to 13,497 units compared to 14,111 during the same period last year, a decline of 4.35%. Since the beginning of the year, the cumulative sales have reached 25,936 registrations, a decrease of 5.56%.
By segment, the number of new registrations of passenger cars (PC) amounted to 23,075 units, down 4.73%, while the number of light commercial vehicles (LCV) was 2,861 units (-11.29%).
