Morocco Braces for Scorching Weekend as Temperatures Set to Soar Above 40°C

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts a heat wave with temperatures ranging from 40 to 46°C from Friday to Sunday in several regions of the kingdom.
A new episode of intense heat at the end of the week. Temperatures ranging between 40 and 43°C will be recorded on Friday and Saturday in Moulay Yacoub, Fez, Meknes, Taounate, Ouezzane, Khemisset, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Fkih Ben Salah, Khouribga, Beni Mellal, Settat, Marrakech, Rehamna, and El Kelaâ des Sraghna, the DGM said in an orange alert bulletin.
Temperatures ranging from 42 to 46°C are expected on Saturday and Sunday in the provinces of Errachidia, Zagora, Tata, Taroudant, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, as well as the interior of the provinces of Essaouira, Guelmim, Boujdour, Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab, the same source specifies.
