Morocco Braces for Scorching Sunday as Temperatures Soar to 44°C (111°F)

It will still be very hot this Sunday in a large part of Morocco, according to the forecasts issued by the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN).
The heat should particularly affect the northern and central plains, the Souss, the southern provinces and the southeast, indicates DMN in its daily forecasts.
This morning, it will be 11 to 16 degrees on the reliefs, 16 to 21 degrees on the Atlantic plains, the Mediterranean, the Oriental, the Souss, the north of the southern slopes and the west of the southern provinces and 20 to 26 degrees on the interior plains, the far southeast and the east of the southern provinces.
In the afternoon, 20 to 26 degrees are expected on the reliefs and the Mediterranean, 28 to 35 degrees on the Oriental and near the Atlantic coasts, 34 to 39 degrees on the Saiss, the southern slopes and the Phosphates and Oulmès plateaus, 38 to 44 degrees on the interior of the Gharb, Loukkos, Abda, Doukkala, Rhamna, Tensift, Al Haouz, the Souss, the southern provinces and the far southeast.
The summer temperatures should last at least until Tuesday before a return to seasonal norms.
