Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave as Temperatures Soar Above 40°C

A hot day is expected this Monday, June 10 in Morocco, especially in the south of the country where temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees.

In its daily bulletin, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) announces rather hot weather in the southeast and the far south of the country but also a moderate to rather strong north wind on the southern provinces and a moderate north wind on the Atlantic plains and the Oriental, from the east to the south on the southeast and from the west to the north elsewhere.

In terms of temperatures, it will be this morning from 8 to 13 degrees on the reliefs and the phosphate plateaus, from 20 to 27 degrees on the southeast and the far south of the country and from 13 to 19 degrees everywhere else.

This afternoon, it is expected from 22 to 27 degrees on the reliefs, the Tangier region, the Mediterranean, near the Atlantic coasts and in the northwest of the southern provinces, from 27 to 33 degrees on the Oriental, the Saiss, the northern and central Atlantic plains, the interior plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss, the southeast slopes and the north of the southern provinces and from 34 to 41 degrees on the southeast and east and the south of the southern provinces.
