Morocco Braces for Scorching Heat Wave as Temperatures Soar to 40°C

Summer weather in most of the Kingdom this Monday, June 17, with temperatures reaching 40 degrees, particularly in the south of the country.

In its daily bulletin, the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) announces, for today, rather hot weather in the Southeast and in the far south of the country.

This morning, it is expected to be 8 to 13 degrees on the reliefs, 20 to 26 degrees in the Southeast and the far south of the country, and 13 to 19 degrees elsewhere.

In the afternoon, it will be much hotter, with temperatures between 22 and 27 degrees on the reliefs and coasts, 27 to 32 degrees in the north of the Oriental, in the Saiss, on the Atlantic plains, in the Souss and in the north of the southern provinces, 32 to 37 degrees in the south of the Oriental, on the phosphate plateaus and Oulmés, on the plains west of the Atlas, on the southeast slopes and in the southern provinces, and 36 to 40 degrees in the far southeast and south of the country.
