Morocco Braces for Intense Heatwave: Temperatures to Soar to 47°C in Multiple Provinces

The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) forecasts a heat wave (42/47°C) from this Sunday, July 31 until Thursday, August 04, 2022 in several Moroccan provinces.
Next week promises to be scorching in Morocco. Temperatures will range between 42 and 47°C from Sunday, July 31 to Wednesday, August 03 in the provinces of Ouezzane, Taounate, Meknes, El Hajeb, Taza, Guercif, Moulay Yacoub, Sefrou, Fez, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Khémisset, Khouribga, Khénifra, Béni Mellal, Fquih Ben Salah, Sidi Bennour, Berrechid, Settat, Benslimane, Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Marrakech and Rehamna, specifies the DGM.
This heat wave will also affect El Kelaa des Sraghna, Tata, Taroudant, Assa-Zag, Es-Semara and the interior of the provinces of Essaouira, Safi, El Jadida, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, Larache, Kénitra, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim and Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane.
The DGM also announces that the phenomenon will be observed, from Tuesday, August 02 to Thursday, August 04, in the interior of the provinces of Boujdour, Oued Ed-Dahab, Aousserd and Tan-Tan.
