Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 43°C (109°F)

The heat wave that Morocco has been experiencing since Friday should persist at least until Monday. These temperatures should peak on Monday with maximums of 41 degrees.
According to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), a heat wave is announced during the day on Sunday, with temperatures ranging between 39 and 43 degrees in the provinces of Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Larache, Ouezzane, Kenitra, Salé, Khemisset, Sidi Bennour, Settat, Berrechid, Benslimane, Marrakech, Rehamna, Youssoufia, El Kelaa-Essraghna, Fquih Bensaleh, Chichaoua, Beni-Mellal, Taroudant, Sidi Lini, Guelmim, Tan-Tan, Assa Zag, Tarfaya, Laâyoune, Es Smara, Boujdour, Oued Eddahab and Aousserd.
In the provinces of Tanger-Asilah, Rabat, Temara-Skhirate, Mohammedia, Casablanca, Nouasseur, Mediouna, El Jadida, Safi, Essaouira, Khoutibga, Khenifra, Fes, Meknes, Moulay Yacoub, El-Hajeb, Taounate, Taza, Sefrou, Boulmane, Oujda, Taourirt, Guercif, Tiznit, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, Inzegane Ait Melloul, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Tata, Zagora and Errachidia, the expected temperatures will be between 34 and 39 degrees.
These temperatures will rise on Monday, and vary between 36 and 41 degrees in the provinces of Taroudant, Taourirt, Oujda, Guercif, Fes, Meknes, Moulay Yacoub, El-Hajeb, Khemisset, Khouribga, Fquih Bensaleh, Tata, Assa-Zag and Es Semara.
