Extreme Heat Wave to Scorch Morocco with Temperatures up to 44°C (111°F)

Morocco is about to experience a heavy heat wave starting Saturday, and until next Tuesday, with temperatures that could reach up to 44 degrees in some regions.
According to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), the heat wave should affect several provinces of the kingdom during the same period. This heat wave could persist until the beginning of next week, with temperatures ranging between 37 and 44 degrees.
In a special orange level bulletin, the DMN reports that temperatures ranging from 40 to 44 degrees are to be feared, from Saturday to next Tuesday, in the provinces of Aousserd, Oued Eddahab, Assa Zag, Boujdour, Es Smara, Laayoune, Tan-Tan, Guelmim, Taroudant, Sidi Kacem and Sidi Slimane.
During the same period, temperatures ranging between 37 and 41 degrees are expected in the provinces of Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Inzegane Ait Melloul, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanan, Marrakech, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Youssoufia, Fquih Bensaleh, Benslimane, Sidi Bennour, Settat, Khouribga, Berrechid, Khemisset, Mèknes, Kenitra, Larache and Ouezzane.
In addition, the rise in temperatures will begin as early as Friday, in the Center and the South, with temperatures ranging between 38 and 41 degrees.
