Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 45°C

The weather will be relatively hot from Wednesday to Sunday in several provinces of Morocco. The Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM) announced this in a special orange level bulletin.
Temperatures ranging from 41 to 45 degrees are expected from Wednesday to Friday in the provinces of Es-Semara, Assa Zag, Tata, Zagora, Errachidia, Taroudant, Marrakech, Kelaa Sraghna, Rehamna, Youssoufia, Settat, Fquih Ben Saleh, Beni Mellal, Khouribga, Khemisset, Meknes, Fes, Moulay Yaâcoub, Taounate, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Ouezzane and the interior of Essaouira, the DGM reports.
As for Thursday, the expected temperatures will be between 38 and 42 degrees. They are expected in the provinces of Sidi Ifni, Tiznit, Agadir Ida Outanane, Sidi Bennour, Berrechid, Nouaceur, Benslimane, Kenitra, Larache, Chefchaouen and the interior of Rabat, Salé and Skhirate-Temara. Only a few provinces are affected by the heat wave over the weekend, with temperatures ranging from 41 to 44 degrees. They are expected in Taroudant, Tata, Assa Zag, Essemara and the interior of Boujdour, Oued Eddahab and Aousserd.
There are also strong gusts of wind (75/85 km/h) that will blow on Wednesday and Thursday in the provinces of Tanger-Asilah, Fahs-Anjra, Mediq-Fnideq and Tétouan, the same source specifies.
