Extreme Heat Grips Morocco: Temperatures Soar to 46°C in Multiple Provinces

The heatwave will rise a notch until Monday in several provinces of Morocco. Thunderstorms are also expected in some areas, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM).
The DGM in an orange level weather bulletin informs that temperatures ranging from 42 to 46 degrees are expected this Sunday in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Es-Smara, Taroudant, Tata and the east of the provinces of Aousserd, Boujdour and Oued Ed-Dahab.
On the same day, temperatures between 40 and 44 degrees are forecast in the provinces of El Kelaa des Sraghna, Fès, Fquih Ben Salah, Guelmim, Guercif, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Nador, Driouch, Rehamna, Settat, Taounate, Taourirt, Taza and Zagora. As for the inhabitants of the provinces of Assa-Zag, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Es-Semara, Fquih Ben Salah, Marrakech, Rehamna, Taroudant, Tata and the east of the provinces of Aousserd, Boujdour and Oued Ed-Dahab, they will have to endure temperatures of 40 to 45 degrees on Monday.
