Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave: Temperatures to Soar to 45°C in Multiple Provinces

A heat wave episode is expected this weekend in Morocco. Temperatures reaching 45 degrees and accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in several provinces of the Kingdom, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology.
In a special weather bulletin at the orange level, the DGM indicates that temperatures ranging from 42 to 44 degrees will affect Saturday and Sunday the provinces of Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, Zagora, Fes, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga and Taroudant.
In the provinces of Assa-Zag, Es-Semara, Tata, Zagora, Fes, Moulay Yacoub, Taounate, Taza, Guercif, Sefrou, Fquih Ben Salah, Khouribga and Taroudant, temperatures that can reach 45 degrees are to be feared on Saturday and Sunday.
As for the provinces of Boulmane, Ifrane, Khénifra, Khouribga and Midelt, they will be hit by locally moderate thunderstorms with gusts under storm and local hail.
