Extreme Heat Wave Grips Morocco: Temperatures to Soar to 48°C (118°F) in Multiple Provinces

It will still be very hot from Monday to Thursday in several provinces in Morocco. The announced temperatures range between 45 and 48 degrees, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology on Sunday.
According to an orange alert from the DGM, Taroudant, Tan-Tan, Esmara, Assa-Zag, Tarfaya and Laâyoune should experience temperatures between 45 and 48 degrees.
As for the provinces of Agadir-Idda-Outanane, Inezgane-Ait Melloul, Chtouka-Ait Baha, Tiznit, Sidi Ifni, Guelmim, Errachidia, Zagora, Tata, Boujdour Oued-Eddahab, Aousserd, Fqih Ben Saleh, Khouribga, Béni Mellal, Khénifra, kelaa des Sraghna, Rhamna, Marrakech, Chichaoua, Settat, Youssoufia, Khémisset, Taounat, Fès, Meknès and Moulay Yaacoub, temperatures up to 45 degrees are expected.
In addition, temperatures ranging from 40 to 44 degrees are expected during the same period in Taza, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Ouezzane, Benslimane, Berrechid, Sidi Bennour, El Jadida (Interior) and Safi (Interior).
