Morocco Braces for Severe Weather: Heavy Thunderstorms and Scorching Temperatures up to 44°C

Weather alert. Thunderstorms that can sometimes be very heavy are expected this Sunday and Monday in a large part of Morocco, the General Directorate of Meteorology has just warned. Temperatures will also be very high in some cities.
Thus, orange-level showers are expected until Monday at 3am in the provinces of Midelt, Boulmane, Sefrou, Fès, Ifrane, El-Hajeb, Khenifra, Khouribga, Tinghir, Ouarzazate, Zagora, Errachidia, Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab and the interior of Boujdour, the DGM specifies.
On Monday and Tuesday, temperatures between 40 and 44 degrees are expected in Assa-Zag, Tata, Guelmim, Sidi-Ifni, Agadir-Ida-Outanane, Taroudant, Essaouira, Chichaoua, Marrakech, Youssoufia, Rehamna, Kelaa-Seraghna, Sidi-Bennour, Settat and Safi, it is also indicated.
