Morocco Braces for Heatwave as Temperatures Soar Past 40°C (104°F)

Temperatures are expected to rise significantly this Monday, April 29, with a thermometer value sometimes reaching 40 degrees, according to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN) in its daily bulletin.
DMN announces rather hot weather in the interior of Souss, the southeast, the south of the country and the North and Central interior plains.
This afternoon, it is expected between 15 and 22 degrees on the reliefs and the Mediterranean coast, between 22 and 29 degrees in the Oriental and near the Atlantic coasts, between 29 and 36 degrees in the Saiss, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, Loukkos, the Gharb, Chaouia, the interior of Doukkala, Abda and Chiadma, the plains of Tadla, Tensift and Rhamna, Souss, the southeast and the north of the southern provinces.
It is in the south of the country and the east of the southern provinces that it will be hottest today with temperatures between 36 and 40 degrees, according to the national meteorology.
