Morocco Braces for Extreme Temperature Swing: -1°C to 36°C Forecast Today

It will be a cold weather that will affect a large part of Morocco this morning, especially in the highlands. Temperatures are expected to range from -1 to 36 degrees today, Monday, February 17.

According to the forecasts of the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN), it will be -01 to 05 degrees in the highlands, 05 to 11 degrees in the East, the Saïss, the Rif, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Mediterranean and the South-East slopes, 11/17 degrees in the Tangier region, the North and Central plains, the Souss, the South-East and the North of the Southern provinces, and 17 to 24 degrees in the rest of the Southern provinces.

This afternoon, temperatures should rise significantly to reach up to 36 degrees in the south of the country. Thus, this afternoon, it will be 15 to 21 degrees in the highlands, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region, Loukkos, the Gharb and on the northern coasts, 21 to 27 degrees in the East, the Saïss, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the rest of the North plains, the central coasts and the South-East. From 27 to 32 degrees on the Central plains, the Souss the far South-East and the North of the Southern provinces, and from 32 to 36 degrees on the rest of the Southern provinces.
