Morocco Braces for Extreme Weather: Thunderstorms and 37°C Heat Forecast

Thunderstorms are expected this Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in several regions of the kingdom with temperatures reaching up to 37 degrees in some places.
For this Tuesday, April 1, the National Meteorological Directorate (DMN) forecasts dense cloud cover with rain or showers and thunderstorms in places in the north, the Rif, the Mediterranean, the Saiss, the Atlas mountains, their neighboring regions and the east.
Temperatures between -2 and 4 degrees are expected in the morning in the Atlas mountains; 4 to 10 degrees on the eastern high plateaus, the Rif and the southeastern slopes; 10 to 16 degrees in the East, the Mediterranean, the Tangier region, the Saiss, the northern and central plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss, the Southeast and the north of the southern provinces and 16 to 22 degrees in the rest of the southern provinces.
In the afternoon, 12 to 18 degrees are expected on the Atlas mountains, the Rif, the Tangier region and the Loukkos; 18 to 26 degrees in the East, the Mediterranean, the Saiss, the northern and central plains, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the Souss, the southeastern slopes and the northwest of the southern provinces; 26 to 32 degrees in the Southeast and the north of the southern provinces and 32 to 37 degrees in the rest of the southern provinces.
