Morocco Braces for Heatwave as Temperatures Near 40°C (104°F) in Southern Regions

Temperatures are expected to be significantly high this Wednesday, March 11 in Morocco, particularly in the south of the country, where they should approach 40 degrees, according to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN).
This morning, it will be 04 to 09 degrees on the Atlas Mountains, the Rif and the Oriental, 09 to 14 degrees on the Saiss, the Mediterranean, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the northern Atlantic plains and the southeastern slopes, 14 to 19 degrees on the interior plains, the Souss, the far southeast and the north of the southern provinces, and 19 to 22 degrees on the rest of the southern provinces.
This afternoon, 20 to 25 degrees are expected on the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the Mediterranean, the Oriental and the southeastern slopes, 25 to 30 degrees on the Saiss, the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, the far southeast and the north and central coasts, 30 to 35 degrees on the interior plains, the Souss and the southern provinces, and 35 to 39 degrees locally on the far south of Morocco.
