Morocco Braces for Extreme Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 46°C (115°F)

Attention, it’s going to be hot! The heat is expected to hit several provinces of the kingdom until next Saturday, with temperatures ranging between 39 and 46 degrees, according to the National Meteorology Directorate (DMN).
In a special weather bulletin, the DMN announces high temperatures that should reach up to 42 degrees in the provinces: Assa-Zag, Errachidia, Es-Semara, Tata, Taroudant, Zagora and the interior of Aousserd, Boujdour and Oued Eddahab.
As for the provinces of Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tantane, Béni Mellal, Boulemane, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Essaouira, Figuig, Fqih Ben Saleh, Guelmim, Guercif, Jerada, Khénifra, Khouribga, Marrakech, Rehamna and Settat, the expected temperatures will range between 39 and 42 degrees, Thursday and Friday.
In the provinces of Fès, Khémisset, Khénifra, Meknès, Moulay Yacoub, Ouezzane, Sefrou, Sidi Kacem, Taounate, Taza, Agadit-Ida-Ou-Tanane, a heat wave is to be feared, Saturday with temperatures ranging between 39 and 42 degrees. It should also affect Béni Mellal, Boulemane, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Essaouira, Figuig, Fqih Ben Saleh, Guelmim, Guercif, Jerada, Khouribga, Marrakech, Rehamna and Settat.
In addition, the heat wave will persist on Sunday and Monday next on the Northern and Central plains and on the interior of the country.
