Morocco Bids to Host Champions League Final and U23 Africa Cup of Nations

Morocco is a candidate to host the 2021-2022 Champions League final, as well as the U23 Africa Cup of Nations, according to the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa.
The announcement was made during the meeting of the executive committee of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation. During the meeting, Fouzi Lekjaa stated that the city of Casablanca is officially a candidate to host the 2021-2022 Champions League final.
The competition is currently at the quarter-final stage with two Moroccan clubs still in the running. These are Wydad and Raja of Casablanca, who will face CR Belouizdad and Al Ahly respectively.
During the session, the president of the FRMF also announced that Morocco is a candidate to host the 4th edition of the U23 Africa Cup of Nations, a qualifier for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
