Morocco Begins COVID-19 Vaccination Campaign, Prioritizing Elderly and Essential Workers

Morocco is preparing to launch the anti-Covid vaccination campaign. The first appointments for citizens over 75 are set for Friday, January 29.
The first doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine were received on Wednesday, January 27. The launch ceremony consecrating this vaccination campaign should be launched on Wednesday, January 27 or Friday, January 29.
Among the priority citizens identified by the Ministry of Health are public authorities, medical personnel over 40, teaching staff over 45, and people over 75. Geographic areas with a high rate of Covid-19 contamination will also be prioritized, it is specified.
In preparation for this campaign, the 2,000,000 doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine have been distributed throughout the kingdom’s provinces. All eyes are on the Ministry of Health for details on the launch of this long-awaited campaign.
